@Plexcon: The actual error will be printed somewhere above the lines you pasted here. If you want to post it here, please export LANG=C before running makepkg so that the output is in English.

I had a look into the kodi-git and kodi-pre-release packages and they seem to also create a kodi-dev-git / kodi-dev-pre-release package. I guess this contains the necessary files. Since there are different kodi packages here in AUR and the official repositories, I cannot really include this as a makedepend. I guess I will add a comment to the PKGBUILD…

I installed version 17 Krypton of kodi-git, and now it is working. Seems some files are just missing from the new master branch...should I notify someone?

@Bevan okay, thank you for helping though. I will look somewhere else. Maybe this is some new "feature" in the v18 alpha

What kodi package are you using? It should definitely contain these files to allow building addons. There is not much we can do on our side here :-/

@Bevan the list is empty, there is no files with cmake ending I want to edit that I have kodi-git installed today, and actually it is not v17 Krypton as I previously told. It's some v18 alpha. Does it have something to do with this?

KodiConfig.cmake should be included in your kodi package. Please post the output of "pacman -Ql kodi | grep cmake". (Or whatever your package is called)

@Bevan: Hi, thanks for fast answer. But I have already tried API=17, and it gives the same error, expect kodiConfig.cmake is KodiConfig.cmake. I dont have such config files anywhere.

@stuomas: Yes, the comment in the PKGBUILD :) You need to set API to 17 to build against Krypton. I just see that I forgot to update the comment to explicitly include Krypton. Nevertheless, API=17 is the correct choice for you.
