As of ksh93 commit f2bc1f45 ksh binaries dynamically linked to libast are now supported. The PKGBUILD has been updated accordingly to install dynamically linked binaries to /usr/bin and ksh's shared libraries to /usr/lib.

@lilikoi
There is a longstanding (4 years old) request to use ksh93 as source for the ksh package in extra:
https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/ksh/-/issues/1

AT&T repo "releases" at github (AKA Ksh2020) is a borked version of Ksh93.

The maintainer of community/ksh should more aware of Ksh lore....

Please make this the defaults for Ksh93 label instead of community ~~Ksh 2020.0.0-3~~ :

We are trying to build something here..

I have updated this AUR package to build ksh from the 93u+m dev branch instead of the unmaintained AT&T repo. That should fix the build error and make this package actually usable.

Build fails with the following:

/usr/bin/ld: /usr/lib/libc_nonshared.a(atexit.oS): in function `atexit':

(.text+0x7): undefined reference to __dso_handle' /usr/bin/ld: /usr/lib/libc_nonshared.a(atexit.oS): relocation R_X86_64_PC32 against undefined hidden symbol__dso_handle' can not be used when making a shared object /usr/bin/ld: final link failed: bad value collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Thanks but I'm going to have to orphan this package because I don't use Arch any more, sorry.

I think the following changes are required: https://pastebin.com/sB9zDVjC

Thanks!

I've updated the PKGBUILD, the ksh binary is no longer linked to lib{ast,coshell,cmd} so they don't need to be installed.
