extra/libretro-mupen64plus-next from official repo uses the same directive without conflicts.

The rename was over three years ago. Anyone who has kept the old package installed for that long should be allowed to keep it.

You should be using conflicts, not replaces.

This package really replaces an old package which was named libretro-mupen64plus-nx-git. If someone still has the old package installed then this directive is useful.

  1. The replaces directive is not necessary.
  2. The directive needs to be removed to conform to AUR submission guidelines.
