Thank you!

Adding an epoch number was a total waste of time since you didn't update the pkgver at the same time.

Nature's way of punishing you, therefore, is to make you bump the epoch up to 2, now.

Make sure you update the pkgver by running makepkg at the same time you update the epoch!

...

Next time, when you initially upload the package, please do the right thing and ensure the pkgver= is equal to the version it should be at the time of uploading.

Problem still exists : the package always wants to update no matter what (I'm using yay).

@jiri.one, done. Sorry for the delay.

Please, be so kind and add epoch=1 to your PKGBUILD. Thanks a lot.

@kode54: I was talking to user AquaLineSpirit (from the previous comment) who said "This causes aurutils to think that the package is outdated all the time". That's why I presented a workaround for aurutils.

But the last line of my comment was not aurutils-specific, and is for the maintainer to upload a PKGBUILD with epoch=1. This would solve the version number issue.

@rafaelff Literally, what are you talking about? That is only applicable if you're using aurutils.

I choose not to use aurutils, because I use my personal custom repo for packages I can safely mirror onto the Internet, because I maintain my own personal repo for my SO and myself. I don't really feel comfortable shoving every package I build from AUR into it. Some of them require source files that are not legal to redistribute.

@AqueLineSpirit: As a workaround, you could remove libtremor-git from your local repository, then add it again.

You can remove a package using repo-remove /path/to/repository/file pkgname (e.g. repo-remove /var/cache/pacman/custom/custom.db.tar libtremor-git). Then you build it again using aur sync ....

Alternatively, the maintainer could set the epoch array with 1 to workaround this version issue.

When building this it currently gives the version r127.7c30a66. Which is less than the advertised version of r19674. This causes aurutils to think that the package is outdated all the time. Can you fix it so that the version on here is less than the pkgver version?
