That last pkg update did the trick, built and booted just fine. Thank you very much.

@Tjuh you were right. Fixed now!

Tjuh commented on 2020-10-17 17:10 (UTC)

Tried that but it still downloads that file and tries to apply it.

figue commented on 2020-10-17 16:45 (UTC)

Should be ok now. Remove your local file 0001-ZEN-Add-sysctl-and-CONFIG-to-disallow-unprivileged-CLONE_NEWUSER.patch and execute makepkg again.

I have compiled it with mtune and march native with -O3 flags. I previously used the xanmod kernel. Xanmod RT has no problem on my desktop with i3, 4th gen (haswell) processor. But for some reason my system uses 100 MB less memory now. Right, the stock kernel, stock rt kernel, liquorix, xanmod all use 100 MB more than this. Not sure why, but my hardinfo benchmarks shows a good speed improvement in CPU N-Queens (benchmarked several times with both kernels, same result). Nothing more than that.

Probably upstream or something in my configs. Unfortunately I do not have the time right now to test in a dedicated manner :\

Do you thing that this issue is related to package? Or something upstream? Xanmod has a forum to report:

Booted fine. Something is wrong with the sound. Tons of static. Realtime is configured for pulseaudio

Compiling with microarchitecture=32 for my haswell laptop.

I'll try to boot it and play some csgo later this week. No issues compiling, just took awhile. Probably because my localmodconfig is not setup, and the gcc cache probably did not have some of these modules in it (compared to my daily driver of linux-clear with Valve's fsync patch and a patch for fixing frequent disconnects on 5+ https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/1168628/ )
