Latest update broke:
localsend: error while loading shared libraries: libayatana-appindicator3.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Fixed it by installing libayatana-appindicator. Consider adding it as a dependency.

@spsf64 already addressed that (comment right above vaygr’s one), look at the top of the PKGBUILD
This will be changed in the next release thanks to ix5’w work to change the tray library localsend depends on
See https://github.com/localsend/localsend/pull/1255

As already noted by @vaygr, this "-bin" should be based on a binary (.deb and .gz are available), not appimage...

failed

Yup, works like a charm now. Thanks @Nixuge! :-)

Aight seems like makepkg's behavior was somehow updated fucking up quite a lot of AUR packages using appimages
Should now be working again, just had to add the !debug option

I ended up installing the
localsend
(not bin) package, which worked for me. But I'll try localsend-bin again later at some point, and run those commands and provide the output here.zoof commented on 2024-03-18 15:44 (UTC) (edited on 2024-03-18 15:44 (UTC) by zoof)
I have exactly the same problem.

That’s pretty weird, did you try reinstalling the package entirely?
Can you do "which localsend" then "file <the math you just got>"

Hi guys,
Somehow I can't get it to run locally, and I'm not sure how to fix it. Here's what I get when I try to run it:
I also tried downloading the package and running the AppImage with the argument suggested above, but it just extracts the image and I don't know what to do with it afterwards.
Any ideas?
