Incus 6.0 (LTS) has been released{0}, therefore in about 1 month I will remove this package, as that should given everyone (else) enough time to migrate.

See https://linuxcontainers.org/incus/docs/main/howto/server_migrate_lxd/ for more, and see below for my personal notes.

  • Must remove core.trust_password before running
    lxc config unset core.trust_password
  • Need to update fstab repoint mount from /var/lib/lxd => /var/lib/incus
If you use a mount for lxd/incus state
  • Prefer manually stopping all instances before starting the migration (the migrator will do it anyway)
    lxc stop --all

This package is the last version before the fork of LXD into incus by the original maintainers after the LXD project was taken over by Ubuntu.

I require it until a stable (read: >=1.0) incus package emerges. If it's troublesome, I'll just host on my private pkg repo, but I somehow doubt I'm the only one waiting for a stable incus release before migrating.
