now that's working again.
Also, for the scores, i tried adding my user to the games group but scores are still not saved.

@maxlefou I installed a flatpak I found somewhere, and that worked, probaby indicating there is now a library compatibility problem, but I haven't had a chance to track it down.

Btw the game stopped working at all.
[1] 87477 segmentation fault (core dumped) Maelstrom
Reinstalling the game didn't helped...

@maxlefou: You need to be in the games group to get permissions. See the PKGBUILD for details.

The hi-scores can't be saved because of wrong permissions on
/var/games/Maelstrom.scores
. Setting it to chmod 777 fixes it.Would be nice to correct the permissions on this file. (maybe there's a more secure way than 777 though?)

That seemed to do it! Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words but I think it’s chipschap who actually authored the fix.
As for a recent problem with the installation:
make PREFIX=/usr install
should becomemake prefix=/usr install
(lowercase instead of uppercase), you can check the source’s Makefile.in for more details.1 2 3 Next › Last »
