No idea, but I do not expect a simple desktop application to require special GPU drivers(!).
Anyway, it seems to be an issue related to upstream that it packages only binaries and thus only very specific setups are supported?

Thank you for your suggestion, implemented now.

no issues here with nvidia binary drivers. could this be a GPU driver problem (incompatibility with intel/mesa)?

You download a prebuild binary and do not compile within the
PKGBUILD
.So you should rename the package to
maptiler-bin
, and addprovides=("maptiler=${pkgver}")
,conflicts=('maptiler')
.Thanks for maintaining!

Launching
maptiler-engine-gui
prints the following errors to the terminal:Shortly a black rectangle appears on the screen, then the application crashes.

Hello jose1711!
The md5sum does not match the deb (anymore).
When installing, an error is shown:
Downloading the file with wget shows that they probably have updated it without increasing the version number?
If upgrading the checksum, it could be worth thinking about switching to a more modern hash, for example sha256.

Package is missing dependencies from official repos:
libjpeg6-turbo libcurl-gnutls
and from AUR:
qtwebkit(-bin) qt4
Also, it links libwebp.so.6 but current Arch libwebp package installs libwebp.so.7, and it links libgdal.so.20 but current Arch gdal package installs libgdal.so.26. Symlinks appear to work (so far).

installs but does not run.
libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
libQtWebKit.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
libQtScript.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
... (did try to tweak with manual symlinks to other versions installed but did not work, obviously :) )
