$ sudo rc.d start mbm-gpsd /etc/rc.d/mbm-gpsd: line 19: /etc/rc.d/hal: No such file or directory :: Starting mbm-gpsd [DONE] HAL is no longer present in ArchLinux. The startup script needs to be adjusted.

Thanks for your comment, you're probably right. The packages is quite old, so it could be that a necessary build dependency is by now obsolete. I'll look into this in the coming days, thank you!

i built this without networkmanager and network-manager-applet and with gtk-doc only as makedepends removing it after the build and all seems to work. i have only hal as depends. in mbm-gps-control-git i have just mbm-gpsd-git as dependends. what would be network manager supposed to do? it can connect without mbm-gpsd-git installed because the modemmanager supports f3507g. i'm on lxde and i don't like network manager, so i would prefer not to install it. please, let me know if i'm missing something. thanks for the package
