I tried to explain this in my earlier message but I guess it was too confusing after all.
I updated the PKGBUILD now to have separate descriptions for each package.

sorry if mdxmini-git doesn't contains the player why the description says "Library and command line player for Sharp X68000 MDX music files" ?

@ciros You need to install the
mdxplay-git
package to get the player, it's not part ofmdxmini-git

@ciros
The
mdxplay-git
package contains the command line player.The repo you linked doesn't seem to have any significant changes in the library, and it doesn't contain a command line player.
The same PKGBUILD and repo are used for both this and
mdxplay-git
, which is why they have the same description and why the mdxplayer repo is used: It simplifies maintenance. Hopefully it's not too confusing.ciros commented on 2024-11-29 10:32 (UTC)
