Installation is failing for me

This appears to be a fork of Micropolis rather than the original. For example, the plane crash disaster was added back into the game, and rather clumsily (it can happen even if you have no airport, unlike SimCity Classic).

Likely considered the original report invalid due to inetutils being in the base group. Not the case anymore with the new base meta package, PKGBUILD updated

I, too, got the 'Micropolis: error in TCL code: couldn't find "hostname" to execute' error that another user reported.

The solution is to install inetutils which provides the hostname command. The AUR package should be updated to reflect this dependency.

There's multiple implementations of micropolis in the same source https://github.com/SimHacker/micropolis/blob/wiki/Description.md The one built on this is the regular Linux one, micropolis-activity

Maybe I misguided the results of https://github.com/SimHacker/micropolis/search?p=1&q=Facebook in particular https://github.com/SimHacker/micropolis/blob/b0c5a3f495ebabbc51d5e45dac948d8e40fc53ee/MicropolisCore/src/pyMicropolis/micropolisEngine/micropolisturbogearsengine.py I may be wrong.

Where do you get such a silly idea it connects to Facebook? It doesn't. I will update the upstream tomorrow, thank you for that

This game seems to connect with "Facebook API". It might be good to add this to the description and please update the Upstream URL to "https://github.com/simhacker/micropolis".
