mutt-kz-git fails with a build error: configure.ac:8: error: 'AM_CONFIG_HEADER': this macro is obsolete. You should use the 'AC_CONFIG_HEADERS' macro instead. --- Until the PKGBUILD gets updated, just edit it prior to install and add a quick sed after changing to the build dir: EXISTING: cd "$srcdir/$_gitname-build" NEW: sed -i 's/AM_CONFIG_HEADER/AC_CONFIG_HEADERS/g' configure.ac

The latest pkgbuilds completely discard all earlier configure options when adding --enable-notmuch. https://gist.github.com/3380109 works.

Here https://gist.github.com/2838757 is a working PKGBUILD until the pull request which fixes archman's issue is merged. It builds from the mutt-kz repo of pioto, who has the fix applied in the fix-notmuch_database_open branch. Works for me.

Since upgrading automake from 1.11.5-1 to 1.12-1, the build fails with configure.ac:33: error: automatic de-ANSI-fication support has been removed /usr/share/aclocal-1.12/protos.m4:12: AM_C_PROTOTYPES is expanded from... configure.ac:33: the top level autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1 aclocal: error: /usr/bin/autom4te failed with exit status: 1 autoreconf: aclocal failed with exit status: 1
