@xiota I don’t really care, you can keep it. It would have been nice to ask though.

@Kwpolska My sole reason for adopting was to update. Since you are the upstream developer, I can add you back as comaintainer if you want.

python-pyyaml is a duplicate of community/python-yaml. Please change this dependency to python-yaml

Yes, now it works. Thanks!

@anponteg: should work better now. The version is 8dev now, which is good enough (and correctly sorted by pacman).

Ok, thanks! Now the last error is solved, but I get a new one error:

running install_scripts
Installing nikola script to /tmp/trizen-anponteg/nikola-git/pkg/nikola-git/usr/bin
install: cannot create regular file '/tmp/trizen-anponteg/nikola-git/pkg/nikola-git/usr/share/doc/nikola-git/manual.rst': No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package().
    Aborting...

And the version of the package shouldn't be v8.0.0.dev0 ?

Thank you! All the best,

Kwpolska, it seems that you may have forgotten to rebuild the package (with makepkg -s) before building the source package (e.g., with makepkg -S). This doesn't cause any issue with building packages from your PKGBUILD, but it does mean that the versions generated by the pkgver look something like this: v6.4.0.r519.g532f2bc However, the AUR reads this version as being lower than the one specified by your current PKGBUILD (i.e., 6.4.0-1). As a result, anyone using an AUR helper will get a notification that their package is out-of-date even if they are perfectly up-to-date. I know it's a minor issue, but if you wouldn't mind rebuilding the package so the pkgver in your PKGBUILD is up-to-date, that would be very nice :) All the best,

@anatolik: done. Nobody has notified about a standards change.
