Bump?

rien333 commented on 2021-11-26 09:08 (UTC)

This package is perpetually out-of-date for me now, anybody know how to fix it? Perhaps a change to the PKGBUILD is needed? I'm getting:

1 Packages to upgrade.
1  aur/nordic-theme-git  v2.1.0.r1.g2beebf4-1 -> 2.0.0.r20.gdbf8ee1-1

@dude sorry about the delay in my response, added git to makedepends.

Please add git as a build dependency. For those building in a chroot, the lack of git in makedepends causes the build to fail. This requirement is detailed here:

Can you add the AUR package nordic-theme as a conflict?

@m3thodic Thanks for making this an aur package.

Your current PKGBUILD ignores the KDE part of the theme. The files just sit in the kde directory of the repo, which is not what the actual filesystem structure looks like and thus can't just be copied with the rest of the files to /usr/share/themes/Nordic. I edited your PKGBUILD to correcly place those files and uploaded it to pastebin.

PKGBUILD

Maybe you could include those changes.

EDIT:

I just noticed that the second part of the KDE theme is in a whole other git repo (Nordic-kde).

Here is an extended PKGBUILD-KDE.

I don't know if you want to combine both repos in this package, but since half the KDE theme is in this pkg already, I guess it makes sense. Another possibility would be to split the package into nordic and nordic-kde or something and exclude the KDE part in this one.
