I'm unable to use NordVPN as a regular user, I'm “forced” to sudo, even when rebooted and added to the user, the socket is always associated with “root”

Weirdly, this only happens on my work computer, on my personal computer it works like a charm!

We can ignore this message.

I am currently unable to build new versions myself. So updates will not come soon at least until I figure out how to build it.

Please don't upgrade to the 3.17.3. There is a bug that prevent the connection. Just checked with the support center.

Due to a dependency quic-go that is incompatible with go 1.21, I have no choice but to use docker to build on arch.

Is it really necessary to use Docker to build this? In the upstream repo they mention Docker as optional. If it is just to painful to build without Docker, have you tried with podman? It's a bit annoying having to install docker, start its service and add an user to the docker group just to build a vpn client...
