@Archanfel80HUN I already have group and service running. The problem I am running into is, that when I get the "Choose an application to open the nordvpn link"-prompt and select NordVPN (or alacritty, or nordvpnd, or xterm, or terminator) in the browser, nothing happens. So I can get the link and login in the browser, but can't open the nordvpn link in the cli to finalize login.
Is there a manual way to open the link in the cli?
@joshfiveo Wait! There is two more thing. 1) You have to enable and run the nordvpnd systemd service and make sure that your user is added to the nordvpn group. Otherwise cant save the configuration!

@Archanfel80HUN Would you mind telling me which terminal emulator you are using? I uninstalled uBlock and disabled my pi-hole, but still no success. Maybe NordVPN doesn't play well with alacritty
@joshfiveo I contacted the support, they said this and it works. Firefox and also make sure that you're not using any adblocker for the moment.
@Archanfel80HUN Firefox is not working for me.
I'm on i3 gaps if that makes a difference. I choose the default NordVPN option to open link with, but nothing happens.
Nordvpn login currently not working from chrome (or any chrome variant), use firefox for the auth url, login then the firefox browser will open a cli windows and login the cli app itself, save the nordvpn.conf file too.

Excuse the late reply. Make certain that nordvpnd.socket is enabled on your system
Hey, since an update, it is now not possible to login fully within the cli. It now redirects to the browser, but once logged in there, it want to open a link with the Nordvpn app, which doesn't work with the cli.
Anybody have a way to work around this.
I tried opening the link with nordvpn, nordvpnd and alacritty, but nothing.

The repository's hierarchy has been updated and a slightly divergence comes with it. It was from:
/debian/pool/main
To now as:
/debian/pool/main/n/nordvpn
Any previous commits you may like to try in the future will need a manual mediation to replace old links in favor of the new ones.
Note from 3.19.0:
This version introduces new libraries being used by NordVPN. I have created symbolic links and committed a patch for it not interposing with already existing libraries (like sqlite3). Although this is not a big deal, If you, however, upgraded nordvpn-bin before the fix and noticed some library-related issue from sqlite lately, I suggest reinstalling the affected package.

There's DNS leak present. Your original ISP servers can be exposed, as reported already on #343 issue.

If you're seeing the message "Daemon is unreachable, is systemd running?", then one of two things is probably happening.
The nordvpn daemon might not be started
Start it using:
sudo systemctl enable --now nordvpndYou might not have been added to the nordvpn group
Add yourself:
sudo gpasswd -a USERNAME nordvpnAnd then restart in order for the group to be created:
reboot
