The script can be run with "sudo numix-folders -t", as mentioned by ondoho. Only the (optional) gui needs gksudo.

I don't think gksu should be an optional dependence. This package installs the icons in /usr/share thus it needs gksu to work. The numix-folder script itself use the folder location as a parameter to decide whether it should invoke gksudo or not. elif [ -d /usr/share/icons/Numix/ ]; then if [[ $UID -ne 0 ]]; then scriptname=$(readlink -f "$0") exec gksudo "$scriptname" [...]

The script has a -t option to run it without gui. gksu should be moved to optdepends, and btw also gtk3 (or, more likely, some py-gtk3 module). other than that, nice. i was always annoyed with the new orange folders.

Thanks, clearing /tmp does seem to have fixed the issue. The package builds fine for me now.

Clearing your temporary files can probably solve this.

I cannot confirm the error that TheChickenMan got, just re-installed and all went fine.

TheChickenMan commented on 2016-01-23 05:36 (UTC)

I get an error now while attempting to build: ==> Extracting sources... -> Creating working copy of numix-folders git repo... fatal: Not a git repository (or any parent up to mount point /tmp) Stopping at filesystem boundary (GIT_DISCOVERY_ACROSS_FILESYSTEM not set). ==> ERROR: Failure while updating working copy of numix-folders git repo Aborting...

Thank you, this is working great!

The .desktop file is copied to the correct location now.

<deleted-account> commented on 2016-01-01 13:49 (UTC)

There is a .desktop file in git that for some reason does not get installed with this package. This .desktop file allows additional access to numix-folders. Moreover the icon is not blurry with ALT + TAB when the .desktop file is installed, cf. this issue report: https://github.com/numixproject/numix-folders/issues/137
