@Bohdanator you need to install both packages at the same time with 'pacman -U'.

✔ OBS This is not a Vulkan package: https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-driver, https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1035845

I don't think /etc/vulkan/icd.d/nvidia_icd.json should be in the opencl package: I should be able to uninstall nvidia's opencl libraries and still use vulkan :) IMO it should either go in the -ligbl package (since that's where the actual .so is) or in its own package, but with a hard dependency on the -libgl package, since it can't work without it.

Please ignore my earlier question, nouveaufb was causing issue.

@Corngood downgrade to xorg 1.17 and my kde started fine! Thx!

How do I get rid of this package? I installed it, did not work with xorg 1.18, uninsalled it, said to use nvidia again restart. System is not booting ever since I restart.

@Corngood I tried install pkg with driver ver 355.00.28 and using IgnoreABI in Xorg config. Tommorow i will try install current version and rollback to old Xorg. @benklett Can you write xorg and driver version?

Corngood commented on 2016-03-03 21:14 (UTC)

So here's the exact command I used to downgrade xorg to a compatible version: sudo pacman -U http://seblu.net/a/archive/packages/x/xorg-server/xorg-server-1.17.4-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz http://seblu.net/a/archive/packages/x/xf86-input-evdev/xf86-input-evdev-2.10.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz http://seblu.net/a/archive/packages/x/xf86-input-libinput/xf86-input-libinput-0.15.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz You may have more dependencies to sort out, in which case you can poke around http://seblu.net/a/archive/packages to find them, or use a tool which will find dependencies.

@mkopec I don't have hardware to test on, but if anyone wants to test it and send me a patch, that would be great. @ImperialDwarf probably the ABI thing? I'd either try IgnoreABI, or install xorg 1.17 from Arch Linux Rollback Machine as suggested by @unknown78.

@ImperialDwarf I do exactly that, but I did not yet encounter any issues with Plasma 5 and this driver.

ImperialDwarf commented on 2016-03-03 14:11 (UTC)

Hello. Thx for this pkg. Any one solve problem with starting KDE Plasma 5 (via sddm) with this driver?

Is it possible to make this package work with bumblebee?
