@alexpe87 I think this is related to dropping kauth: http://www.openafs.org/no-more-des.html It looks like you can remove the --disable-kauth line from the PKGBUILD to build with kauth.

When updating to Kernel 4.0 and upgrading to the openafs, openafs-modules, I loose the possibility to get a token via klog, klog.afs etc... these aren't there anymore! Any idea what mmight have gone wrong?

For Linux 4.0 two patches are required: http://gerrit.openafs.org/#q,status:merged+project:openafs+branch:openafs-stable-1_6_x+topic:release16111,n,z I won't backport these here as openafs 1.6.11.1 is expected to be released soon which includes these changes.

I installed openafs-modules package and now the openafs service started working again for me

I cannot start openafs (with or without -module(-dkms) package installed). Error: http://pastebin.com/Qw6A7fhD $ uname -r 3.18.6-1-ARCH $ cat /lib/modules/extramodules-*/version 3.18.6-1-ARCH

Linux 3.19 landed in [ŧesting]. I will push new versions of openafs to deal with that during the day.

Works again! Reboot fixed it.

The status output looks like there are several afsd processes still running. AFS was never really good at being restarted... Could you try a reboot?
