Edit: got this to work by running the command it suggested, but maybe it should be part of the build

@ifernando: If you are not using an AUR helper that will take care of installing the required/missing dependencies, you have to do it yourself. python-setuptools and python-grpcio-tools are both available in the official Arch repository

I am obtaining this missing dependencies error:
Do you have a solution for it?
Thank you

@afader I had the same problem. Solved it by reinstalling base-devel and copy-ing makepkg.conf.pacnew to makepkg.conf.

@afader
Please do not flag this package out of date if you're getting a build error (especially one I cannot even reproduce when building in a chroot).

This is a
-git
package – mere version bumps are not required for packages like this if nothing else (dependencies, for example) changes. Some AUR helpers (likeparu
for example) can optionally automatically update such packages as well when the upstream repo has changes; otherwise you'll just have to manually update them yourself (withparu -S opensnitch-git
, for example). This will then build from the most recent upstream sources.See: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_User_Repository#Flagging_packages_out-of-date
