Preemptive note on version 2.3.0:

At the time of me writing this it's still 2.3.0-rc with no final release, but it is unusually buggy with a lot of different UI elements causing a crash when used. With that in mind I will not be rushing to update this package to 2.3.0 once it's tagged - I will give it at least several days to see what state 2.3.0 is and if we're better off waiting for 2.3.1.

Wayland support status:

I'm currently unable to test Wayland issues/fixes because I don't have a working Wayland setup. That will be changing in a coming weeks as I'm planning to switch to Wayland first. In the meantime I'm happy to accept a co-maintainer with experience dealing with Wayland-specific issues.

Known issues:

Camera/Live view/whatever you call it for BambuLab printers doesn't work. AFAIK it's a dependency issue that has been solved in some appimages. I will be tackling this, but there is currently no timeline. Contributions welcome.

If slicer doesn't move to the next step when you sign-in in browser window simply refresh that window - it should fix it.

1.8.0 RC2 segfaults when you complete bambulab sign-in. I won't have the time to investigate for another week or two.

Like reported, the app searches for the fonts in the wrong path, but even after fixing that the app crashes with a segmentation fault when it loads the plugin that is downloaded from bambu ~/.config/OrcaSlicer/plugins/libbambu_networking.so.

It's been a problem also for bambustudio, see [1]

Doesn't seem to work @c2h5oh - compiling and installing works, but running it crashes pretty early;

Updated to 1.7.0. Testing has been very limited, but at the very least it doesn't crash and primary functions work.

This modified PKGBUILD worked for me for building the 1.7.0 release. Included many fixes from below comments. I still get two Javascript unexpected result errors on startup, but that might just be cruft from my crazy npm/gradle/jre/jdk adventures. No showstopper bugs found thus far.

harmonyos-sans-git no longer exists. Should be changed to ttf-harmonyos-sans. Should also be a makedepends because orca-slicer copies the .ttf files into its resources.
