Point well taken and I have switched to the mainstream passwordsafe package which runs successfully. Many thanks.

Rebuilding unofficial packages after so-bumps in the official repos is the user's responsibility.

I can't tell why you use the -git version for passwordsafe. If you don't plan hacking on it you're better off with the PKGBUILD that follows the upstream releases: aur/passwordsafe.

This is a VCS PKGBUILD, it doesn't get bumped for every upstream commit, that is why the AUR shows an old date/version. makepkg will update it when you run it.

Appears that passwordsafe-git is out of sync with libxerces-c, update to which came with the xerces-c package built on 02 Feb 2025. Error when executing pwsafe is "pwsafe: error while loading shared libraries: libxerces-c-3.2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory".

Also, I have no idea why I'm using passwordsafe-git, especially since it hasn't been updated since 2022. Any reason I shouldn't switch to the passwordsafe-bin or mainstream passwordsafe package? Thanks.

On wayland (tested with kde) the program cannot be minimized to tray. Is there a fix for that? As soon as I start an X11 based session, I can activate the option "Minimize to tray" again.

wxgtk2 no longer exists and probably cannot be replaced: https://archlinux.org/news/wxwidgets-32-update-may-need-manual-intervention/

However, this package compiles and runs perfectly fine by simply replacing "wxgtk2" with "wxwidgets-gtk3" in the PKGBUILD. Would you please do that? Thank you.

For some reason if i open my safe as "read-only" i cannot use the search (crtl-F) functionality.

Currently building fails for two reasons: 1. `qrencode' is now required, which is missing from the dependencies 2. README.txt no longer exists, it's now README.md cheers sascha
