I thought about that earlier today, and I decided not to submit a deletion application because (non-exhaustive list): 1) There is usually some manual mapping-out of dependencies required for perl modules, so this PKGBUILD wasn't instantaneous; 2) This module might be needed in the future or by someone using it in a private PKGBUILD; 2b) This module isn't provided anywhere else in the AUR or official repos; 3) It is very little additional effort for me to continue maintaining it, given the other perl packages I maintain.
There are any number of other deprecated packages on the AUR (and this package in particular isn't even outdated, as far as perl packages go!), which have not been deleted. I believe it to be safer to err on the side of not breaking users' builds, rather than tidiness.
Edit: When making a deletion request, the form states "[...] This type of request should be used for duplicates, software abandoned by upstream, as well as illegal and irreparably broken packages." - which does not describe this package.

Can this be deleted since its unused now?
