Weird. I guess pgmodeler makes a call to pg_config to get information about libpq. Can you check it is in your path ?

Hello :) Installation is failing with: ==> Starting build()... Project ERROR: libpq development package not found libpqxx and postgresql-libs are installed What am I doing wrong? :) Cheers! Jauch

Yes, just what I told you: I had no idea there was a /usr/bin/pgmodeler and a /usr/local/bin/pgmodeler. I just uploaded a new version.

I installed manually, is "/usr/local/bin/pgmodeler" and works. But when I installed this package before, was "/usr/bin/pgmodeler" and this file tried to open "/opt/pgmodeler/pgmodeler", but the folder was empty.

(and try running directly /usr/local/bin/pgmodeler). If this works, I'll just link /usr/bin/pgmodeler to /usr/local/bin/pgmodeler)

I think I'm starting to understand :) My path starts with /usr/local/bin, so I never use /usr/bin/pgmodeler, but /usr/local/bin/pgmodeler. Can you check that your path has /usr/bin before /usr/local/bin ?

JohnRobson commented on 2015-07-01 08:53 (UTC)

The file "/usr/bin/pgmodeler" was linked to this empty folder (/opt/pgmodeler), maybe you also need to check this file. Tks.

/opt/pgmodeler is just a something I forgot to remove when I took over the package. It is empty, everything should go in /usr/local/bin... The beta1 has been released 17 hours ago. I'm going to upload a new version, without this empty /opt/pgmodeler.

The manual installation install in these paths, not in "/opt/pgmodeler", maybe the problem is in the link to "/opt/pgmodeler" /usr/local/bin/pgmodeler /usr/local/bin/pgmodeler-cli /usr/local/lib/pgmodeler /usr/local/lib/pgmodeler/bin ... /usr/local/share/pgmodeler https://paste.debian.net/271832/
