I wish that AUR had pull requests.

I too. I think that for this to happen, we should better discuss it in a proper place, the wiki mentions some: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Getting_involved

Sure, let's have it that way. This is exactly the reason I'd love to have PRs here - I imagine many maintainers submit to the AUR once in a blue moon and don't want to study the submission guidelines each time. Having other people review PKGBUILDs is a waste of time for both parties.

This is generally to preserve the git history of the package and aur comments.

As this package is rather new, and there is no useful comments to preserve, you can find it would be quicker to submit a brand new aur package, and just file a deletion request for this one. I imagine it would be handled quicker, as you own the package.

Also, you should not add the previous package to the conflicts array. Instead, add it to replaces array. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/AUR_submission_guidelines

@Ashark okay, done. I wish that AUR had pull requests.

@Teyras In the article I linked:

To rename a package, select "Submit Request" on the package page, and in request type select "Merge".

@Ashark How exactly am I supposed to rename the repo? I made the changes to the PKGBUILD but it gets rejected by a server-side hook.

This package needs to be ranamed following naming guidelines from https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/KDE_package_guidelines#KF_package_naming
