@jpegxguy @wlion Yes, the dependency isn't needed. I've built package variant with and without it in a clean docker environment, and there is no difference in produced packages.

I build it without gnome-shell and didn't notice any problems so far.

Is gnome-shell actually needed?

Note: Please, dont't flag this package out-of-date when release candidate version is out. The development cycle is quite fast, so I decided that there is no point in using rc's. For now I'll update it only when 0.6.0 is released.

pkgconf should be installed as it's a part of base-devel group. @KriK, can you post the full log output, please?
