oh, good call out; afaik, you do. I added the
plexamp-headless
script to quickly allow authenticating outside of the user serviceemilot commented on 2024-12-26 17:54 (UTC)
Oh yes. It sees my usb dac just fine.
Let me ask a stupid question :) Do i need plex pass (i read that i need this with headless installation)?

dang; does it see your outputs in its settings? Settings -> Audio Output -> Audio Device?

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I leave only nvm in the dependencies field and i install it.
I found the plexamp through web interface at 32500 port, i try to play something and throws an error:
"Couldn't start Playback"
:(

@emilot, yea, I'd imagine alsa alone would work just fine. you could give it a go by removing it from the depends list, it's not required to run the app

Hello,
Can i make it play through MPD or ALSA? I dont want to install pipewire. Thanx!

Looks like plexamp-headless is not liking the current lts node v20.18.0 - downgrading to v20.17.0 continues to work. It'll probably be wise to migrate this to harness nvm moving forward to prevent issues like this.
