--> Please make sure to report this pkgbuild as outdated, when the checksum fails or the game tells you that it is outdated :D

--> People please clear the cache of your AUR helper from time to time. Every PRO release will download 450MB of data that might stay on your drive. (and grow with every new release)

--> Client update log: https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/3146-update-logs/ --> This pkg version number might differ from the upstream version number, because the changelog is not always available when the client was already updated, and there is no real release-string available for me to read out somewhere else.

Currently the game seems to be broken: - https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/247510-pro-client-segmentation-fault-core-dumped-on-arch-linux/

@fabis_cafe It turns out I didn't have vulkan installed lol, I guess it was just using opengl the other times. I installed it and it worked, thanks!

fabiscafe commented on 2021-02-20 19:58 (UTC)

@SmailBarkouch looks like it tries for some reason to load the vulkan engine without having any vulkan device around. Try

PROClient -force-opengl

That should force opengl path.

Does your PC support vulkan? If not thats clearly a bug and you should try to report it.

If openGL works for you, you can create a new desktop file

~/.local/share/applications/net.pokemonrevolution1.desktop

with the content

When I try to launch the game, it keeps crashing before the window opens. When I ran the script directly I got view some info:

@fuzzbop I'm on it already. It'll still take a while, since I want to rewrite it a bit and change my data set. (and have a birthday party today :P) I'll hurry up to have it out this weekend. :)

There is a linux version again. please update!

fabiscafe commented on 2018-12-19 09:40 (UTC)

PRO does not offer any linux client anymore. the old one will not work. So for now there is nothing to do.

I think about the idea to give up this pkgbuild and start to build a flatpak for it. Still not sure about that move. What do you think?
