I fixed the issue by adding python-setuptools in the makedepends array. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Python_package_guidelines#setuptools_or_distutils

@fryfrog - I don't like the idea of supporting Python 2.7 in 2019.
That said, I'd be happy to give you ownership of this package.

Hey @nvllsvm, would you be interested in merging python2-enzyme into this package and making it a split package?
