@micwoj92 Thanks for your help, I finally found the correct command to install python2 on Manjaro using yay which is: yay -S python2 --mflags "--nocheck"

Then don't use yay.

Edit: I installed with yay and it's working. It must be something wrong with your system then.

Thanks to all involved in the last fixes. For me it fixed test_argparse in addition to test_curses.

@keepitsimpleengr If anything post pacman command, noone should bother with pamac.

If you don't need python2 as I did not, you can remove it with....

pamac remove --cascade python2

for anyone wondering about the gpg key, you can still fetch it if you manually specify one of the "legacy" keyservers, e.g. gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys C01E1CAD5EA2C4F0B8E3571504C367C218ADD4FF
