I know it's perhaps obvious but this needs gtk3 otherwise it won't build in a clean chroot or container.

Unfortunately, I think it has more to do with the usage by QGnomePlatform of private Qt APIs… my guess is that the Qt 5.8 update broke it.

This is failing with: Project ERROR: Unknown module(s) in QT: platformsupport-private Is there some missing dependency?

Here it is: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qgnomeplatform/ I'll try to keep it updated, e.g. pushing a rebuild when new qt versions come out, and getting new features from master if they're stable, but without having a moving target. Feel free to co-maintain ;-)
