0.17.3 is a mandatory update for stakers and highly recommended for everyone else.

coderobe just to be clear, the package builds and works perfectly. It is not "buggy" I suggest you try it out before commenting. I do agree that it needs improvements, and I will consider your suggestions. Thank you

pkgdesc is for describing what your package is, not what your pkgbuild does.
don't clone new sources in build(), that's what source=() is for
references to $srcdir are redundant, the functions start there
msg2 is an internal function that may or may not exist like this, don't use it. actually, don't print status messages at all
also, your package() is buggy: the
done
at the end is closing thefor
, and should be above themake install

This PKGBUILD will build Qtum from latest release source. More convenient and control for the user.
