You either have to use a force flag or tell Pacman to skip the validity check. The package is probably just out of date. You'll have to Google around for the specific flag ( -f or -skipvalidity or something like that ) it's been a while so I don't remember specifically.

During the build process a file must not be copied correctly. I had to also rpmextract the program from the website and drag the files into the correct locations as well. This solves my previous issue of r-viewer not working, it now does correctly.
