shahid: I guess you are using you own ffmpeg package, because this doesn't happen with ffmpeg from [extra]. Anyway, it is likely to be a bug with the build system. I'll check that.

There are build errors with libavformat. I've compiled it only with export LDFLAGS='-lopencore-amrwb' before ./configure --prefix=/usr

Fixed some issues with the rc script. There are still some problems with "minidlna stop" not killing everything though.

Upstream update, the minidlna executable moved to /usr/sbin and it has been renamed to minidlnad

I must say that still have problem with transcoding with mencoder. However mecoder command from transcode_video-hardcodesub works great when I try it in terminal/console, but with minidlna I get it cannot open pipe. Most of my videos are mp4 files. I got it working by adding srt subtitle to mp4 file with MP4box (there need to install gpac to have MP4Box utility). The other way I managed to get subtitles with ffmpeg. I compiled ffmpeg from ABS with --enable-libass option, and then I can add external ass subtitles to my movies using ffmpeg command with ass filter. I create ass subtitles by 'ffmpeg -i subtitle.srt subtitle.ass', so now I can manage subtitles with a little modified minidlna-transcode_video file. There no need to use any other utilities than ffmpeg to do that.

I think I found the culprit. I was missing quotes around the $SOURCE in the transcode_video-hardcodesub. At least for me it fixes the "opening pipe" error. I've already uploaded fixed version of the script.

tydell: I tested it with only one file with subtitles. Now I tested some other files too, and I'm getting the error when opening pipe for some of them, too. I have some ideas what may cause it.
