Darn, I just tried for 15 minutes to post a good looking, working PKGBUILD... Sorry about the noise if someone sees all the tries. Another thing to mention is that namcap also complains about the license= part which should be "license=('GPL-2.0-only')" to be valid. Also I suggest to change the hardcoded source to: source=("http://remotebox.knobgoblin.org.uk/downloads/RemoteBox-${pkgver}.tar.bz2"

@jose1711, in case you want to upgrade to Remotebox 3.5, you should add these dependencies: "perl-regexp-common" (as @sergej noted) and "perl-file-which".

Looks like this needs to be updated to work with VirtualBox 7.1.x. I'm running that now, and RemoteBox 3.14 supports this as of 9/14 (News log: https://remotebox.knobgoblin.org.uk/ ), but that's not what this AUR package installs. Note that Arch seems to be shipping VirtualBox 7.1.0 as of now in extra: https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/virtualbox/

@jose1711: Please remove the uploaded custom .desktop file and make PKGBUILD use the one provided by source. It can be found in the packagers-readme/remotebox.desktop in the source tarball.

Also I propose these two corrections:

optdepends=('freerdp: RDP support' 'rdesktop: RDP support' 'krdc: RDP/VNC support' 'tigervnc: VNC support' 'vinagre: VNC support' 'realvnc-vnc-viewer: VNC support')

RDP and VNC clients listed above are the ones that RemoteBox provides a preset for by default.

Starting from today remotebox segfaults on a fully updated (testing) system if trying to attach a cd to a vms controller. Can somebody else verify this behavior or is it just me?

But... as one can't update archlinux installations and just ignore the virtualbox update via pacman --ignore (the kernel modules 'virtualbox-host-modules need to be updated)

are there any recommendations besides just 'hold your breath and wait for remotebox 3.2 official release'?
