hello, i have an error while building riseup-vpn. i live in russia-occupied crimea, ukraine and after they had throttled youtube 31st of july and threatened to ban it completely at 3rd september i had renewed my attempts to circumvent censorship [they use dpi and it depends on sni [i have found a TEMPORARY solution at https://github.com/Waujito/youtubeUnblock ]].
i am trying to install https://aur.archlinux.org/cloudflare-warp-bin.git as a part of these attempts but i have error during the registration and cloudflare's own forum gives a solution of using a vpn for the registration step.
but we cannot access anything from google.developer-ish trunks because THEY BLOCK CRIMEA! look at this error i had gotten while building riseup-vpn today, can you help me with any solution please?

@calamity Uh, it worked on my computer but not in a clean chroot. After a lot of testing, I finally switched to using git instead of an archive, and it finally worked.

For me, this fails to build with paru. Any ideas?

No, setting GIT_DISCOVERY_ACROSS_FILESYSTEM does not help, it just removes this single line.

@peanut2 When the stable version is released, could I copy the needed changes from your PKGBUILD and add you as Contributor to mine?

However, if you work for LEAP, I would feel obligated to add you as Co-Maintainer or transfer ownership if you would like.

Hey, I updated the riseup-vpn-git package. There will be a new release in the next days which includes a qt6 update. I can help/maintain the package if you wish.

@Cyberfox69 When I tried to compile this package I also got that error. Remove the check section or use riseup-vpn-git.

Also, close the deletion request, the error is not my fault. It should be reported upstream instead.

@xianort99 I tried making this package using paru and had no problems.

You could also try paru, or makepkg -si. If the issue still persists, try changing the URL to "git+https://github.com/leapcode/bitmask-vpn.git#tag=$pkgver" and installing the package with makepkg -si.
