V5.20.1 is out, but on Avnirvana. seams the webpage is not up to date yet

Hi, I think this package should only rely on the java runtime, not the full development kit. For instance, jre8-openjdk instead of instead of jdk8-openjdk. What do you think?

@micwoj92 Done, thanks for the heads-up!

Hello, could you update homepage to https?

@capoeira,

Thxs for the feedback. I tried installing the 5.20 and it did run right out of the installer but subsequent launches from the user menu didn't work.

Thanks to that I discovered that the installed files are all installed as root and that Roomeqwizard needs to be launched with sudo.

I'll try changing the group on the files to test if it's enough to run as a user, but that told me how to make the 5.19 work as well. So all's working

@Bbc802

I mean 5.20 beta.

5.19 using this AUR is working, downloaded 5.20 beta installed using the provided script is working, too

@capoeira, by beta you mean the 5.20 or the 5.19 beta also available on AUR?

Is 5.19 working for you or is it the beta?

I recently updated my system along with a kernel upgrade to 5.6.19 and am still able to launch roomeqwizard (was working before), but after the first screen opens, it’s impossible to do anything (menus do not respond to shortcuts or mouse and mouse has no effect on any button) except moving the window around.

Has anyone around experienced this ? I tried reinstalling and tried using either java 8 or java 11, but to no better outcome. I also see very limited logs.

I’ll next try launching it in a real lxqt session (as opposed to a NoMachine lxqt’s session), but short of that, I don’t see where to look.

I noticed that my symlink is broken in /bin

I was able to launch the program by typing

/usr/share/applications/roomeqwizard/roomeqwizard.desktop

into a terminal emulator. I tried making the symlink point to that file but it didn't launch the program.
