rtl8xxxu supports RTL8188GU now. Use rtl8xxxu-dkms-git instead.

@KafCoppelia McMCCRU didn't agree to add the DKMS file to their repo. My repo only adds that file, so you can use DKMS install. If only GitHub had an option to update the branches automatically..

Thank you, @KierPrev. It seems that your rtl8188au repo is following the McMCCRU's. Maybe it is necessary to changing the AUR upstream URL into McMCCRU's? Or create a new AUR package for McMCCRU's with different name?

Now it should work even on 6.0 kernel. The https://github.com/McMCCRU/rtl8188gu/ is the same, but I provided the dkms file.

For future references, if the original repo updates to a newer kernel, and you want to use DKMS, just put this file https://github.com/KierPrev/rtl8188gu/blob/master/dkms.conf on the folder, and use

sudo dkms install .

Seems the maintainer is not maintaining the package actively and I just use the code in https://github.com/McMCCRU/rtl8188gu/ to build it directly.

@hvitoi I managed to build a driver with patches for the new kernel version, but it doesn't work after connecting and prints the following errors in the kernel log:
