@Grawp I apologize. I did not realize the pkgver() function does that.

@timothy.lee pkgver in this package is autogenerated during makepkg and it always reflects the HEAD of the 4.3.22_beta branch.
Learn how makepkg & AUR work and don't flag packages with pkgver() function according to what you see on AUR webpages.
The current version is 4.3.22_beta.r10.0658130-1. I've checked that.

I have Edimax EW-7822UAC and this driver keep disconnecting about every 20 minutes. It won't come back until I reconnect the device physically.

Can the package version be updated to reflect change addition of new commit that fixes 4.6 compilation?

thanks @Grawp...thing is, i might use 5GHZ in the future. Actually I allready bought the Edimax yesterday (online shop), because it seams to be the better device anyways. And cheap also

@capoeira Well, if you don't need AC or 5GHz at all, then why bother with device that doesn't have upstream support such as this.
capoeira commented on 2016-05-24 22:05 (UTC)
sorry for highjacking. but I'm deciding between Edimax EW-7811UAC (rtl8812AU) and Ralink RT5370. rtl8812AU seams to be more of a pain in the ass, right?

4.6 compilation should be fixed up by https://github.com/Grawp/rtl8812au_rtl8821au/commit/0658130bbd0ba72aa0f5a800e39764e2b63f34f5

DKMS compilation seems to fail on 4.6 kernel (from testing). /var/lib/dkms/rtl8812au_rtl8821au/4.3.22_beta.r9.928e27f/build/make.log: http://vpaste.net/1YTXY

with awus036ac the installation doesn't show error but the adapter seems not working. I can see it correctly with lsusb though its led remains off and I can't see any router.

To all having an issue with this driver: please try these alternate packages: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rtw88-dkms-git or https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rtl88xxau-aircrack-dkms-git.

a patch to make it work for rpi and may be other ARM device:
Note: I am seeing the interface of the usb wifi key marketed as DEEPOW dongle (from amazon) changing MAC address at every boot even though I have not set up anything like that in netctl, here.
I don't know if it's a hardware problem or driver problem. However, it's the same with rtl88xxau-aircrack-dkms-git driver
