Generally I would not recommend "degrading" packaging. As current guidelines for ruby say to build gems from source. In some cases this is non trivial, but most gems work with just using template found in wiki.

Thanks. I've slighly modified this to use tag instead of commit. I don't know if check() is worth adding, it would require uploading many new gems to aur.

All yours. You can feel free to add me as a co-maintainer and if you do I may update the package version from time to time (using your style of packaging) but I don't see the point of leaving it orphaned if you have a strong opinion on how it is packaged.

Ok, then just give it to me or add to co-maintainers.

Its an orphaned package with 0 popularity. I need to keep it going for one or two things I use. To do so I adopted a much simpler packaging style similar to other AUR Ruby gems (despite knowing this would prevent promotion to official repos, but see start of my comment regarding that).

I've looked at how gems are packaged in the main repos and I could try and do something similar here.

If you are dead set on having it "how it was" with commit reference and all sorts then let me know and I'll abandon the package assuming you are happy to pick it up.

Many thanks.

@kruzah forget to add PKGBUILD to commit. Fixed now. Thanks.

It looks like you forgot to update the sha512sum in the PKGBUILD update to 0.67.0. The new sha512sum is f10c35d076724d41d9c8b6c9a33efb9871176b4cf096ca17b7e3d9fd7876656122c659c2538c1e3be9a6673927f853f6b7e41287581741aac3f53c4e6433e0b7

Looks like 0.60.0 needs a dep on ruby-rdoc to successfully install
