I have fixed the download link. I'll try to remember to use the attic links in the future (they are hopefully more permanent).

The package is also out of date. I will update it once the official package is updated.

As a system, that just doesn't work. By the time I notice an get around to doing that, most people will have already noticed the breakage and rebuilt the package. Incrementing pkgrel would just give them a useless update. The rule I go by (feel free to link to a rule stating something different): If the package builds (and then works) at a point in time (with the repos from that time), then the package is fine at that time. The repos have the advantage that they are updated in sync. Point being, if you use the AUR, you have to be prepared to fix such breakage anyway, since you cannot rely on the maintainer updating it at the precise moment that perl leaves testing.

You're the maintainer, it's *your* job to *maintain* the package. You literally have to bump the pkgrel, sure you can do that. It needs to be recompiled to use the perl update.

I don't think the package is out of date, there is no newer version. The newer pkgrel in community was for the perl rebuild. AUR packages are not updated for rebuilds, you have to know to rebuild it yourself.
