Scalasca doesn't use Python, but OTF2 does. I guess that this is/was his problem.

Installs fine for me with Python 3.12.4, I'm not certain where this even uses python?

Hey there, this package can no longer be installed if you have Python>=3.12, due do the deprecation of the imp module: https://docs.python.org/3.9/library/imp.html

Ran into the same issue, noticed 2.6.1 released and that worked - updated.

Hey there! I am unable to install this package on my PC from AUR. While all previous dependencies compiled successfully, this one fails at configure stage with the following:

checking for otf2-config... yes
configure: error: provided library interface version '10:0:0' of otf2 not sufficient for Scalasca, provide '8:0' or compatible. If in doubt what to do, contact <scalasca@fz-juelich.de>.
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
    Aborting...
error: failed to build 'scalasca-2.6-1':
error: packages failed to build: scalasca-2.6-1

This doesn't happen when I just download the tarball from scalasca's website. Any ideas?

No worries, I've done the same thing before. Cheers :D

Done. Sorry -- forgot to push the new package.

Are you planning on adding cubegui to the AUR so that this package can build?

Thanks!

Sorry for the slow reply. I have updated to 2.2 and added separate packages for the new (since v2) dependencies.
