cd in pkgver() is incorrect. Try this, if you want: Remove the patch (should also not be in build()) and use this instead: pkgver() { cd "$srcdir/${pkgname}" printf "r%s.%s" "$(git rev-list --count HEAD)" "$(git rev-parse --short HEAD)" } prepare() { cd "${srcdir}/${pkgname}" sed -i 's|#define SCALPEL_DEFAULT_CONFIG_FILE "scalpel.conf"|#define SCALPEL_DEFAULT_CONFIG_FILE "/etc/scalpel/scalpel.conf"|' src/scalpel.h }

Hi Dennis, thank you for the notification! Have you manage to build the latest master branch? I get "config.status: error: cannot find input file: `Makefile.in'" whene I run ./configure. Haven't done much research yet ^^ UPDATE: Created a new issue https://github.com/sleuthkit/scalpel/issues/2

Scalpel now lives with Brian Carrier (sleuthkit dude) on github: https://github.com/sleuthkit/scalpel The code has been reformatted etc, and it is being maintained/updated (see log: https://github.com/sleuthkit/scalpel/commits/master ) Please update PKGBUILD :)

Minor suggestions: You don't need to specify glibc. Paths and filenames with srcdir and pkgdir should be (double) quoted. (You normally don't put $url in sources.)
