Version 0.21.0.0-g63780fcd is also faulty here, black screen with blinking white bar. reverting to 0.19 also worked here. Waiting for updates/fixes

version 0.21.0.0-g63780fcd is not working here. I do not get a login at all. Reverting to 0.20.0.15.gb002d02b and restart sddm works. There was an error in the 0.21 logs about the theme I was using, reverted to breeze. Still no graphic logon with 0.21. Ideas?

@KyBe

This error should be reported to upstream, I doubt if it has anything to do with PKGBUILD-dem.

Maybe the --parallel option could be added to the cmake --build build command to speed up the build :

cmake --build build --parallel $(nproc)

I have an issue with the latest version. I'm using the rootless X11 and with sddm-git-0.19.0.170.g3e48649-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst after login it doesn't switch to the virt2 and so I have to manually use the Alt+F2 to switch to the KDE environment. Reverting to sddm-git-0.19.0.41.g0b3f399-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz, the problem is solved. (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2072202#p2072202).

I've opened a bug upstream: https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/1624

It provides systemd service:

Noticed that it doesn't ship systemd service file, is this expected?

@sir_lucjan

Oh, wow. Sorry, I didn't notice. My bad!

sir_lucjan commented on 2022-11-15 08:39 (UTC)

@greven Clearly, you should report the error. But you reported the bug under the sddm-git package and the problem was with plymouth-git, which is a completely different project. You need to pay attention to what and where you report.
