Since no SDL3 tag is available, I am going to wait until they release SDL3 to move back to a tag system. For now, I am going move the commit to the latest every week. If it has been more than a week since the last "update", please flag the package out of date.

@fabian-ang The "1 pending request" is likely a deletion request, so should be resolved at some point.

Why is this package using epoch? Is see no use in it. This is especially annoying since some aur helpers will show this aur package as an update to the one from the repos

@username227 SDL uses a lot of dlopen dependencies, with fcitx/ibus being one of them. To get fcitx support in the SDL3 library, it needs to be present during build time. Whenever it comes to runtime, it doesn't have to be there, hence it being in optdepends for people who need it.

Edit: From the SDL3 Wiki:

SDL will build with very few dependencies, but for full functionality you should install the packages detailed in README-linux.md.

You can build a minimal SDL3 library, but since this is an AUR package, I want all features included.

I do not believe fcitx5 is needed to build. I just successfully built in a clean chroot without this package. Please remove from makedepends. thanks.

I am not doing weekly bumps anymore since there is a tagged SDL 3.1.3 ABI preview.

The prerelease-3.1.1 tag no longer exists. No SDL3 tag is available in fact.
