No problem. That was quite the right thing to do. I updated the searx-git package:

  • switch to Python 3
  • switch to UWSGI
  • use same structure as for searx package
  • put searx.ini within /etc/uwsgi/vassals

To start searx-git, you only need to do:

  • systemctl enable emperor.uwsgi.service
  • systemctl start emperor.uwsgi.service

Hey, sorry about the orphan request, I really thought this package was abandoned and I usually don't contact maintainers outside of the "source".

I switched to uwsgi like the usual searx package. This version is now fully using python3. This searx-git release is based on searx PKGBUILD. So everyone should now be happy :)

Could you also switch to uwsgi like the usual searx package? The usage via searx-run is not for production use.

Please update your PKGBUILD to use python3, as the usual version also uses.
