@robertfoster

How did you building the package? After building and installing the package, you can start the game through the menu or the console command "serioussam-tfe", "serioussam-tse". If you enter the command ./SeriousSam, then there will be an error "bash: SeriousSam: command not found"

The symbol "inflate" refers to the zlib library. When building a package with the makepkg command, we see a check for the presence of a library:

-- Found Threads: TRUE
-- Found SDL2: /usr/lib/libSDL2main.a;/usr/lib/libSDL2.so
-- Found ZLIB: /usr/lib/libz.so (found version "1.2.13")

Try to build and install the package in the standard way:

  1. download snapshot
  2. Unpack serioussam.tar.gz
  3. cd serioussam
  4. Open a console in the serioussam directory
  5. makepkg
  6. sudo pacman -U serioussam-1.10.4-5-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
  7. Add game files to as prompted by the package during installation
  8. Launch the game via the menu or console commands "serioussam-tfe", "serioussam-tse"

Packages ""serioussam" and "serioussam-vk" are fully functional and do not require fixes.

./SeriousSam: symbol lookup error: ./libEngineMP.so: undefined symbol: inflate

./SeriousSam: symbol lookup error: ./libEngine.so: undefined symbol: inflate

both on this and on -vk
