The package cannot install. I am using the aur-helper paru to do so and get an ERROR that I don't have the permissions to execute line 34 in ./build_linux.sh

If you use sioyek in combination with vimtex & synctex you should either use sioyek-git Or apply this patch https://github.com/ahrm/sioyek/commit/78cf88f5f27c0438d8c814232baa7ca6c49d7cd6 which fixes --forward-search-column

@Alad: Make sure that your Arch Linux system is updated (libmupdf-1.20.0) and that you use the latest PKGBUILD for sioyek (1.4.0). Then it should work fine, at least it builds fine on a clean machine: https://github.com/goggle/aur/runs/7312779556

I've builded v1.4.0 in chroot today and is working fine

I have the same problem as petronny, even with mupdf 1.19

Note: Since sioyek 1.4.0 does not support Arch Linux's mupdf 1.20 (it only supports mupdf 1.19), a patch was added that was basically taken from here: https://github.com/ahrm/sioyek/pull/294
