@FabioLolix I have got a German system configuration. Therefore error messages are shown in German. I don't know how I could change this selectively in order to get error messages in English.

@Dominik I cannot reproduce this error. It seems like there are some access rights issues. Have you tried to install the package the 'classical' way using makepkg?

The package cannot install. I am using the aur-helper paru to do so and get an ERROR that I don't have the permissions to execute line 34 in ./build_linux.sh

If you use sioyek in combination with vimtex & synctex you should either use sioyek-git Or apply this patch https://github.com/ahrm/sioyek/commit/78cf88f5f27c0438d8c814232baa7ca6c49d7cd6 which fixes --forward-search-column

Posting a patch that cleans up the PKGBUILD a bit, feedback is welcome, and I hope you find it useful

@Alad: Make sure that your Arch Linux system is updated (libmupdf-1.20.0) and that you use the latest PKGBUILD for sioyek (1.4.0). Then it should work fine, at least it builds fine on a clean machine: https://github.com/goggle/aur/runs/7312779556

I've builded v1.4.0 in chroot today and is working fine

I have the same problem as petronny, even with mupdf 1.19
