@mikebutash Please try the new PKGBUILD I wrote for the git version https://git.sr.ht/~e-v/aur-squeezelite-git and let me know if it works on your installation.

I've not gotten this to work in like 3 years of testing, short of running this as root only, so something seriously broken with the permissions or access model. Otherwise useless in standard install format though. I can't figure out why this won't work adding to arch audio group, so not sure what else this requires to work properly, but as-is is garbage.
